Thanks for any and all Dexter scoop you can provide! — Shiela
As we get closer to the end of the season, it’s harder and harder for me to guess where they’re going with Deb. This week’s episode will give you a much clearer idea… and it’s so weird. Take a look at this promo scene from the episode. See if you can guess. Also this week: LaGuerta takes her role as the season’s most unredeemable character to a new level, we learn that one of our new-ish characters has a warped mind, and Harrison goes on the annual “Dexter’s pissed off a serial killer” trip out of town.

  1. Seriously? Every time the shit gets rough, Harrison's gotta take a trip out of town? Take a risk people, I mean come on...put him in some actual danger. And for God's sakes, stop taking the usual "Antagonist dies at the end of the season" route...you want a shocking endings? Kill Harrison and let Travis get away. That'll surpass your worries about "Season 4's" ending no problem. Besides, you've made it a point to kill off a main character every even season (Doakes, Rita...)...

I'm not saying I want Harrison to die, I'm just saying story wise...it opens SO MANY DOORS for Dexter.

  2. a shocking ending*

And another thing, I'd love to see Dexter become darker. I mean kill some innocents...if anything show people that he's not really meant to be a "hero", sort of how Jeff Lindsay wants people to view his version of Dexter Morgan. You could open doors for Brian's return while Dexter kills across the country, an antagonist that survives the season could be a potential threat for the end game following these next two seasons...there's more room than just killing Travis now. >=/

  4. Perhaps La Guerta will end up on the table in seasons to come? I had been thinking Matthews, but she seems to put her career over doing the right thing each time, so who knows what she'd be capable of.

I think Laguerta is probably the most expendable of the regular cast, and also the weakest actor, so I wouldn't mind seeing the back of her too much.

  5. You'll be taking a clever to the neck if you bring that stupid meme around Dexter...just saying =P he'd probably be annoyed himself. X_X

The only thing that makes a serial killer work as a protagonist is the fact that he works within some (albeit loose) moral structure. Without the code, the character of Dexter, and the concept of the show, wouldn't work.

  7. Harrison is always at risk. When dexter killed that mob guy, Hulio. What if the mafia wanted revenge on him too not just Brother Sam. The tooth fairy could have easily got to his adress he already knew his name. If this pattern continues like this, Harrison won't live to graduate and Dex does not need to pass anything on.

  8. Dexter should give Harrison a favour and move him out of town forever. He claims he loves his son, but he keeps putting his life in danger. Harrison, Jamie and even Deb is not safe. It appears to me that he just doesn't think, killing murderers that hide their true identity is one thing but killing a powerful mob guy. He sure has a family who will not rest until they find his killer.

  9. Its like: "Oh, this season gonna end. We still have to bring Harrison out there."
    Sounds familliar, dont you think?

  10. In the picture: This is after Dexter lies to Debra about how Travis' "disciple" died and Debra is consulting with Masuka who tells her that Dexter's explanation could not be accurate.

  11. To those people saying Louis will be the ice truck killer's son, that cannot happen. Brian Moser looks like he's in his 30's and Louis looks like late 20's so unless he had a son at age 8 that cannot happen!

I agree, I don't think they'll go down that road. It's more likely that he's just an obsessive who possibly found way to look over Dexter's search history over a number of years, finding out he's the BHB, then finding out that he's the ITK's brother. He has an obsession with serial killers so he's possibly taken the internship to get close to Dexter and the homicide department, and soon he will move from the 'vicarious' thrill of associating with a serial killer, and visiting homicide crime scenes, to actually becoming one himself.

On a side note, I think he must have some connection with Brea Grant's character. She was also portrayed as being obsessed with serial killers, saying she painted her nails the same as a prosthetic hand. It would be pretty a pretty big, unrealistic coincidence to have 2 successive interns who just happen to have weird obsessions with serial killers.

  13. Since Louis was painting reflexology information on the hand I was thinking about how receiving the hand in the mail might remind Dexter of his mother and brother again and what affect that might have on him. It looks like Louis is trying to send him a message of some sort.
