    Seriously, Rita wasn't so bad. Of course she was fragile her husband used to beat the shit out of her, probably in front of the kids too.

    She was so cute eating lobster and oh my god when she sings in the car in season 4. Makes me smile everytime. Dexter got lucky imo. :/

      i wanted to kill her right there...right in that scene...that's my worst rita moment! haha seriously now, i just don't find people like her appealing. the mere fact that she actually sat and took beatings for i don't know how long, her naiveness, her passive aggressive oppresive behaviour and her self victimization made her very unsympathetic, the way i saw it. not as much as lumen, but still. it was bad. i liked the fact they used a character like her though.

      Rita and her world plays a massive part in what made Dexter seasons 1 & 2 the best ever. Sure, she got annoying later, but always having a dark, Deb-Dex type dynamic would have made this show one-dimensional and gloomy as fuck.
