      If you look at the screenshots at the link below, at least 4 of the scenes are from previous seasons. The guy in the helmet though - probably one of the new killers unless, as you say, it's a nightmare.

      @ 1:28 That doesn't mean anything. Maybe he just needs some time to think about everything: Deb falls asleep and wakes up the next morning.

      But if Dex actually injects Louis in the neck, he will know what happened. So far have been only two serial killers who woke up alone knowing that Dex tranquilized them. One of them was Trinity. Do I need to go on.

      The only other option is that Dex talks to Louis and convinces him to do what exactly?

      Yea, people don't seem to understand that trailers are put there to "wind up" ideas and throw people off the scent of the real story the episode will be telling. There are some spoilers, but it's mostly smokescreen and deception.

      They are using lots of dream imagery again and I like that. And this is the first time that we get to go "inside" a character besides Dexter. I think that it's a very huge deal to let the audience into Debra's head, and it underlines her growing importance to the show.

      I wonder if Harry's lies combined with all of Debra's issues and traumas might have caused her to be more like Dexter, subconsciously, then anyone including she realizes?

      I also wondered during Season 6 whether the therapy appointments after Deb was cleared to return to work were real.

      It would be interesting if Deb has her own dark passenger and sees things that aren't there.

    I don't think Louis Green is going to get killed....yet. Dex tranquilized him as a warning to stay away with him and quit screwing with him would be my guess since Louis somehow knows Dex is a killer. It would be too soon to kill him after all the mystery they built up behind the character!

      Because the man is a genius. He understands programming for starters, and i seriously doubt i need to highlight the fact that very few people are able to do so. out of this thread...probably none. lol
      Seriously, now, i do believe that for three reasons. one. he is smart, probably smarter than all the ones that preceded him, and yes, he's smarter than dex himself.
      two. his storyline was secondary on season 6 and yet he managed to somehow be incredibly interesting and unpredictable. meaning, he's well written. he's disturbed and has immense skills. in other words, the guy can give new sense to danger.
      three. josh cooke is badass and he WILL deliver.

Apparently Dex kills one of Isaac's top guys and then Isaac goes on the hunt looking for the guy that offed him. They've hinted at him finding out about what Dexter does with criminals. Should be an amazing storyline.

    Wow there's going to be a lot of conflict between Dexter and Deb this season!!!! I sure hope she forgives him later in the season and tells him about her feelings, even if they might be a little blocked from all the new information she is finding out about him. When she said "I will never be ok!" I think Dexter told her about Doakes and that he was the Bay Harbor Butcher, or that he had to kill Brian to save her.. Oh man, i'm crying as i type this.. I've watched the trailer 6 times in the last 15 minutes and i just have a lot of feelings!!!

      He will show it. I have no doubts. He's got to in order for them to survive and it's also obvious they won't turn away from each other. No matter what. Season will be about their relationship and exploring it. In order for them to get to that place it's to go deconstruct to reconstruct and build itself back up to that point and maybe more for them - with their feelings for one another.

      Thats not necessarily true. Last season Christian Camargo's name wasn't on IMDB actor list for Nebraska until right before it aired, so Josh only being listed for 3 episodes means nothing.

    Wow. That was the best trailer I have ever seen in my life. This season is going to be AWESOME! And that is an understatement. I think we are about to witness the absolute best this show has ever given us. I was stoked about S7 in the first place, then ten times more when the trailer showing the first 2 minutes came out, but now? I have no words for the level of excitement I am feeling in anticipation for this season. I really hope they use the character of Louis to his full potential. I said it in a previous comment and I'll say it again. I keep imagining Louis dressed down in Dexter's kill suit with Dexter laying on his table. I can't say I would want the show to end with Louis killing Dexter, but the scenario would be amazing with Dexter somehow escaping and killing Louis. There is so much potential there. How intense was that scene that showed Dexter lifting him off the ground by his throat? And the scenes between Dexter and Deb look so amazing. This season is going to blow seasons 1-6 outta the water. AH MAN!!!!!!! September 30th is not going to get here nearly fast enough.

I felt like the BHB stuff could re-surface eventually, and I'm glad the writers are going for it... even if it leads to Dexter's demise.

    I don't think Deb will die this season. IMO it will come down to dexter doing something drastic like killing someone at miami metro (Quinn, Laguerta, Louis) which will make Deb completely despise Dexter. This would set up for the 8th and final season of Dexter where its all about Deb hunting down Dexter.

      That is the obvious ploy, and I don't like it. Far more interesting I think for Deb to hit the moral gray by being forced to choose. I just have that feeling we are going to see an echo of the end of the first novel...

      Maria about to shoot Dexter, and Debra choosing between the two and either killing or causing Maria to die. It just makes so much character sense, it gives Deb MORE angst to deal with, puts her in "Dexter's shoes" without doing anything cheesy like putting Deb in a kill room (something I NEVER want to see) and sort of bonds the two together for an end run.

      I could never enjoy Deb hunting Dexter, and in any case, by that point she would be too complicit in the cover up and she would be IN JAIL for aiding/abetting conspiracy after the fact, if his secret was so obviously out.

    Some things in there came from previous seasons though : Dexter with his 'original kill tools' form the pilot , old kills, a shot of him shirtless from the pilot, etc...

    Lots of misdirection as well. I don't believe for one second Dexter will ever harm Debra. Imagine it, dream about it yes... Act on it never.

    What I got from this trailer is that a metric fuck ton of shit is going to happen in the first 4 episodes lol.

    Loved the little scene with Dexter losing his shit with a suspect in the interrogation room right in front of Deb and him snapping right out of it and looking like a lost beaten down puppy... Pressure indeed

    And the scene at the end with Deb and Dexter in his apartement with all the blood slides and kill tools on the coffee table... just the look on their faces... fantastic. Wouldn't be surprised if that was part of the ending scene of the premiere... We'll see.

    Good thing I'm leaving for a 12 days trip tomorrow... I need to get away from this site a little, don't want to be too spoiled :P
