Jennifer Carpenter Lands First Post-Dexter: New Blood Role In 'Yellowstone' Prequel '1923'

The former Dexter star is back in action.


Jennifer Carpenter just landed her first post-Dexter: New Blood role in the Paramount+ series '1923'. Filming for the series, which is a Yellowstone prequel, is set to begin later this year, and Jennifer will have a recurring role in the second season.

The beloved actress will portray Mamie Fossett, a highly capable U.S. Deputy Marshal known for her confidence and advanced approach in serving warrants and making arrests.

1923 Season 1 starred Helen Mirren, Harrison Ford, Brandon Sklenar, Aminah Nieves, Brian Geraghty, Sebastian Roche, Jennifer Ehle, Marley Shelton and Robert Patrick, among others.

This role will mark Carpenter's return to television after almost three years. She most recently reprised the character of Debra Morgan in Dexter: New Blood. Some of her previous TV credits during the past decade include shows such as The Enemy Within, Limitless and The Good Wife.
