The actor who played the iconic Masuka character discussed Dexter: Original Sin.
Former Dexter co-star C.S. Lee attended the premiere of Netflix's Cobra Kai Season 6 Part One in Los Angeles on Wednesday and spoke with Deadline's Rosy Cordero.
He discussed meeting Alex Shimizu, the new Masuka actor in Dexter: Original Sin back in June (see here), and how Masuka's jokes from the original series would be received today.

On the new Masuka actor Alex Shimizu:
"We met and I was randomly told, 'do the laugh,' and he did it perfectly. I didn't have to teach him; he did his homework. Alex, you did your homework, you were great. Yeah, he knew the laugh right away."
About Masuka's jokes in the original Dexter series that might feel 'inappropriate' today, C.S. said:
"You're right, maybe I wouldn't have survived back then, but you know, we make adjustments, and I'm sure Alex will make the appropriate adjustments needed for this time and age because we obviously don't want to offend people. We're living in a politically correct time. It's about love; it's more love."
