Dexter: Original Sin, the prequel spinoff exploring Dexter Morgan's transition from student to avenging serial killer, is currently filming in Los Angeles. Over the past ten days, the cast members have shared various behind-the-scenes moments via their Instagram stories.

Sarah Michelle Gellar, who will play Dexter's boss at Miami Metro, shared a photo from a house on location, featuring director's chairs labeled 'Angel Batista' and 'Dexter Morgan.' This location might be a crime scene, suggesting Gellar could be sharing scenes with Patrick Gibson and James Martinez.
Alex Shimizu shared a photo from the studio house where the show is filmed in Los Angeles.
Reno Wilson, who plays Detective Bobby Watt, shared a selfie from his trailer. His character in Dexter: Original Sin is a close friend and colleague of Harry Morgan (Christian Slater) and Aaron Spencer (Patrick Dempsey). An interesting detail in his selfie reveals a few lines from the script.

Wilson and Alex Shimizu had a great time on set yesterday, July 22, sharing stories and photos of themselves playing darts between takes.
This took place at the exterior of the studio house, where they seized the opportunity to practice their aiming skills on a dartboard attached to the wooden fence.
They also shared a boomerang video of themselves doing pushups, with Patrick Dempsey’s character’s chair visible in the background.
Bonus! Dexter: Original Sin executive producer and writer Scott Reynolds shared an intriguing image a couple of hours ago. It shows a white shipping container (reminiscent of the one in which Laura Moser was murdered) with fake blood drops on the outside. This is part of Showtime's promotional efforts at San Diego Comic-Con 2024, where the Dexter panel will take place this Friday!
