Catch a glimpse of James Martinez and Alex Shimizu as Batista and Masuka respectively!
Dexter: Original Sin, the highly anticipated prequel series set in 1991, is currently in production. This series follows a young Dexter Morgan as he transitions into the avenging serial killer fans know and love. Recent developments in the Dexter franchise have generated significant excitement: it was announced that Michael C. Hall will not only narrate the prequel series but also star in Dexter: Resurrection, the sequel to Dexter: New Blood.
During the Comic-Con 2024 Dexter panel in San Diego, an image was revealed in an investigation board style, showcasing all the key Miami Metro characters from the first ten episodes of Dexter: Original Sin.

Fans were treated to a first look at James Martinez as Detective Angel Batista and Alex Shimizu as forensics analyst Vince Masuka. The resemblance of these actors to their original counterparts is astounding. Executive producer and showrunner Clyde Phillips, during the SDCC panel, emphasized the remarkable likeness of Martinez to Batista.
