Michael Lehmann to Direct Six Episodes of Dexter: Original Sin Season 1

Dexter: Original Sin follows the same formula as Dexter: New Blood.

Dexter: Original Sin, the highly anticipated prequel series set to debut this December, returns to production this week after a fun break for the cast and producers at San Diego Comic-Con.

So far, only two episodes have been completely filmed. According to various interviews by the cast during Comic-Con, they are halfway through episode three, titled "Miami Vice," glimpses of which were revealed through two stills released by Showtime.

Michael Lehmann, a well-known director who directed episodes 610 and 710 of the original Dexter series, will be directing six episodes of the first season of Dexter: Original Sin. The only confirmed one so far is the pilot, titled "Original Sin," written by showrunner Clyde Phillips.

This is not the first time a single director has taken on more than half of a season's episodes. In 2021-2022, Dexter: New Blood followed a similar approach, with Marcos Siega directing six episodes and Sanford Bookstaver directing the other four.

Soon, we will know which other episodes Lehmann will be directing, as well as the other director(s) involved in the first season of Dexter: Original Sin.
