Sarah Kinsey Joins the Cast of Dexter: Original Sin as Young Camilla Figg

A new casting addition to the highly anticipated Dexter prequel has been revealed!

The actress who will portray a younger version of Camilla Figg in the upcoming Dexter prequel has been found! Showtime has cast Sarah Kinsey for the role of young Camilla, the records supervisor at Miami Metro P.D. As you can see in the images above, the casting directors did a terrific job, as both actresses bear a strong resemblance to each other.

Unlike the previous actors announced for Dexter: Original Sin over the past few months, there wasn't an official announcement about Sarah Kinsey joining the cast, so you’re learning about this casting here first!

But how do we know Sarah Kinsey will be playing in the Dexter prequel, you might ask? We discovered her name on the list of actors on IMDb (new and aspiring actors often add their names to the platform themselves), and confirmed her involvement in the show through her Instagram account, where she follows all the new Miami Metro actors, as well as the official Dexter account.

The original Camilla Figg actress, Margo Martindale, appeared in the main Dexter series for five episodes, from Season 1 to Season 3.

Camilla has had a long history with the Morgan family. She and her husband, Gene, were good friends with Harry and Doris Morgan, and the two couples often played bridge together. As a result, Camilla knew Dexter since his childhood, and they maintained a friendship over the years.

In the original series, Dexter often brought donuts to work for his colleagues, always making sure Camilla got one. In return, she allowed him to borrow files on suspected murderers, which (unbeknownst to her) he used to target many of his victims.

For years, fans have theorized that Camilla knew who Dexter really was. Their final interactions in Episode 7 of Season 3, "Easy as Pie," where Dexter mercy kills her, seem to confirm this.

The prequel promises to provide a definitive answer to these theories.
