The Dexter prequel will offer deeper insight into who Harry Morgan truly was.
The highly anticipated prequel Dexter: Original Sin, set to debut this December, is currently in production in Los Angeles.
In a recent interview with Collider, Christian Slater, who plays Harry, Dexter's adoptive father and the creator of "The Code," discussed the upcoming series. Slater was speaking with the website's Naomi Ackie while promoting his new movie Blink Twice alongside co-stars Simon Rex and Alia Shawkat.
When asked how to keep audiences engaged in the moment while also leveraging the knowledge of where Dexter’s story eventually leads, Slater responded:
"When I read these scripts, first of all, they were just so well written, and Clyde Phillips is amazing. He did the original show, and he's managed to throw in some things here that really did catch me by surprise. There’s also things that Dexter doesn't know that happened with Harry as a character, so those are the things that I'm really excited about and do give, I think, a greater insight into who this guy was."
