When will Dexter: Original Sin premiere?
At the end of July during San Diego Comic-Con, we received some exciting updates on the highly anticipated prequel, Dexter: Original Sin, including confirmation that it will debut this December.
While an official premiere date hasn’t been announced, it’s likely already set, as Showtime needs to plan around the holiday season. The reason for withholding the exact date might be to maintain flexibility in case changes are needed.
Similar to the original Dexter series that aired from 2006 to 2013, as well as Dexter: New Blood, episodes of Dexter: Original Sin will be released weekly.

So, when exactly will Dexter: Original Sin be released on Paramount+ with Showtime? Let's explore the potential dates:

A December 1 or December 8 premiere seems most probable, giving the prequel series time to gain momentum. A launch after December 15 risks being overshadowed by holiday events.
Additionally, keep in mind that Paramount+ sometimes releases shows on Fridays. If that’s the case for Dexter: Original Sin, then the most likely debut dates would be December 6 or December 13.
Set in 1991 Miami, Dexter: Original Sin follows 20-year-old Dexter as he evolves from a student into an avenging serial killer. Unable to suppress his bloodthirsty urges any longer, Dex learns to harness his inner darkness. Guided by his father, Harry, he adopts a Code that helps him target and eliminate those who deserve it, all while avoiding law enforcement's attention. This proves especially challenging for young Dexter as he starts a forensics internship at the Miami Metro Police Department.
