The famous actor was spotted on set in Los Angeles last Friday.
While Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, Molly Brown, and Sarah Michelle Gellar (with Alex Shimizu among the audience) were at San Diego Comic-Con for the first-ever Dexter: Original Sin panel, some of the rest of the cast were shooting scenes for the Dexter prequel, which is slated to debut this December.
One of them was Patrick Dempsey, one of the biggest stars of the highly anticipated prequel, who portrayed Derek 'McDreamy' Shepherd for eleven seasons on ABC's medical drama Grey's Anatomy.
In the set photos released a day later, Dempsey, who plays Aaron Spencer, the Captain of Miami Metro Police Department and best friend to Harry Morgan, is seen filming a press conference scene for episode 103 titled "Miami Vice".
Notably, for his role in Dexter: Original Sin, Patrick Dempsey is sporting a mustache—something that had been suspected from various set photos weeks ago but wasn't entirely clear due to the angles of the photos.
