POLL: Are You Satisfied With the Decision to Revive Dexter Morgan For the Dexter: Resurrection Sequel?

Last Friday's announcement at the Dexter panel at Comic-Con left everyone speechless.

It has been one week since the Dexter: Original Sin panel at Comic-Con which featured Clyde Phillips, Michael C. Hall, Scott Reynolds, Molly Brown, Patrick Gibson, Christian Slater, and was moderated by Sarah Michelle Gellar.

During the final minutes of the panel, showrunner and executive producer Clyde Phillips, who has overseen Dexter seasons 1-4, Dexter: New Blood, and Dexter: Original Sin, surprised the audience with a major announcement: Michael C. Hall will reprise his role as America's favorite serial killer in a sequel series to Dexter: New Blood titled "Dexter: Resurrection."

Clyde Phillips stated, "A small bit of news: with our writing room and our partnership with Paramount+ and Showtime, first of all, this show, Dexter: Original Sin, will air in December. Second of all, we, along with Paramount and Showtime, are doing another show that is going to start shooting in January called Dexter: Resurrection, starring Michael C. Hall."

Following the announcement, Michael C. Hall playfully tossed a donut from the ones he brought to the panel, signaling his relief and excitement now that the "secret" is finally out.

This news comes as a surprise, given that Clyde Phillips and Michael C. Hall previously stated in early 2022 interviews, after the polarizing Dexter: New Blood finale, that Dexter was dead and Michael was officially done with the role.
