Behind the Scenes of the Dexter Prequel – Dancing with Co-Stars and a Peek at a Familiar Location

Another exciting week on the set of Dexter: Original Sin!

As we near the end of September, production on Dexter: Original Sin is in full swing. Now that the series has crossed the halfway mark of filming, we finally have an official release date (December 13) and a teaser trailer, both revealed last week.

The cast of Dexter: Original Sin seems thrilled to be part of the project, frequently sharing their excitement on social media. A fun example of this came on Wednesday afternoon, when Alex Shimizu (young Masuka), James Martinez (young Batista), and Reno Wilson (Bobby Watt) posted a collaborative reel on Instagram, showing the trio dancing together between takes at CBS Radford Studios. Thanks to their acting skills, they managed to keep a straight face throughout the video!

Check out the reel below! (Song: "Jiggle Jiggle" by Duke & Jones & Louis Theroux).

Earlier that day, Reno Wilson shared another reel, this time from a shipping container yard in Los Angeles. The video shows towering stacks of containers, with crew members from Dexter: Original Sin busy at work in the background. If you listen closely, you can hear Wilson humming the iconic Dexter theme.

Given the significance of flashbacks in this prequel, it's highly likely that they are recreating the brutal 1973 scene where Laura Moser is murdered in front of Dexter and Brian. This pivotal moment, followed by Harry rescuing a young Dexter, remains one of the most defining events in the storyline. The highly anticipated prequel is expected to provide deeper insight into these critical moments. However, it’s still unclear if this is the exact scene being filmed at that particular location:
