Another exciting casting addition to the highly anticipated Dexter prequel has been revealed. According to IMDb, 11-year-old actor and model Brayden Gleave has joined the cast of Dexter: Original Sin in a key role that may prove significant in the early episodes of the series.

Warning: Potential spoilers for Dexter: Original Sin below.

If Brayden Gleave’s face looks familiar, it’s likely because we recently shared a series of set photos here on Dexter Daily, taken in late July, featuring a press conference scene outside the Dade County Courthouse.

The photos from Backgrid.com, dated July 26th and from the third episode titled “Miami Vice,” show Patrick Dempsey leading a press conference as Miami Metro’s Captain Aaron Spencer. The case being discussed involves a missing child, Jimmy Powell, played by Gleave.

In the scene, alongside Dempsey and a photo of Jimmy, we also see the boy’s devastated parents as they deal with the disappearance of their son. According to early leaks, Captain Spencer is tasked with assembling an elite team to investigate the abduction of Jimmy Powell, the son of a prominent judge.

Many fans have speculated in recent days that this case could be tied to the season’s main antagonist, or perhaps to a notorious villain familiar to Dexter fans—one who may not even appear in the first season of Dexter: Original Sin.

As we get closer to the December debut of this 10-episode season, more news is sure to surface, so stay tuned!
