Dexter: Original Sin Adds Eli Sherman and London Thatcher to Cast, Plus Announces Camilla Figg Actress

Meet young Dexter and Nicky Spencer!

More casting news! Dexter: Original Sin continues to expand its cast, with Eli Sherman, London Thatcher, and Sarah Kinsey joining the highly anticipated prequel series, as exclusively revealed by TheWrap.

Eli Sherman will portray a young Dexter, marking the third actor to take on the role of America’s favorite serial killer in the series. Patrick Gibson is set to play Dexter in his young adult years, while a child actor named Daniel will embody Dexter during his preadolescence.

Sarah Kinsey has been confirmed to step into the role of Camilla Figg, Miami Metro’s file clerk and a trusted confidante of Harry Morgan—a character originally portrayed by Margo Martindale in the Dexter series. Dexter Daily first confirmed Kinsey’s casting back in July.

London Thatcher will play Nicky Spencer, the son of Captain Aaron Spencer, portrayed by Patrick Dempsey. Previously, in August, it was announced that Amanda Brooks would be joining the cast as Becca Spencer, Captain Spencer’s ex-wife and Nicky’s mother.

Thatcher’s parents, who manage his social media accounts, took to Instagram to share the exciting news:

"London will be making his television debut in a major recurring guest star role as Nicky Spencer, Captain Aaron Spencer’s (Patrick Dempsey) son, on the upcoming series DEXTER: ORIGINAL SIN, premiering Friday, December 13th, on Paramount+ with Showtime. A heartfelt thank you goes out to London’s incredible team—Artistic Endeavors, AEFH, and Abby Valencia. We are all immensely proud of him."

Sarah Kinsey, meanwhile, waited eagerly to share her own announcement on Instagram:

"So honored to be a part of this KILLER team, especially in a role originally created by the singular Margo Martindale. Let’s gooo!"
