Let’s find out who wrote the last two episodes of Dexter: Original Sin Season 1.
We're just 50 days away from the series premiere of Dexter: Original Sin, Dexter fans! Since Showtime released the first teaser trailer for the prequel, there hasn’t been any new content from Showtime or Paramount+, which is a bit surprising.
Now, as we near the end of October, the anticipation is building for the debut of Dexter: Original Sin on December 13. Last week, we shared a major spoiler that could be a game-changer—especially for those who might be skeptical about the prequel, as their focus is on Dexter: Resurrection, the other upcoming Dexter series starring Michael C. Hall.
Filming for Dexter: Original Sin is set to wrap in late November, and the cast is currently on set in Los Angeles, shooting scenes for the ninth episode. Episode 10, the season finale, is next on the schedule. But who is behind the scripts for these two crucial episodes? Here’s what we learned today:
Episode 109 is written by Scott Reynolds, whose last Dexter episode was “The Family Business” from New Blood—the highest-rated episode of the 2021-2022 mini-series.
Episode 110 is penned by Clyde Phillips, the showrunner of the prequel. Phillips also wrote the pilot episode, titled “Original Sin.”
This follows a pattern established in Dexter: New Blood, where Clyde Phillips wrote both the season premiere and finale, while Scott Reynolds handled the penultimate episode.
