A taxi, a passport, and a plane ticket—get a first look at Brian's deleted scene from Episode 10.
The first season of Dexter: Original Sin may have wrapped up 12 days ago, but it continues to captivate fans. This thrilling prequel, set 15 years before the events of the original Dexter series, follows Dexter Morgan’s transformation from a student to an avenging serial killer while still living with his family.
One of the biggest surprises of the season was the introduction of Dexter’s biological brother, Brian Moser—a character fans never expected to see in Dexter: Original Sin.
Brian Moser’s Shocking Introduction in Dexter: Original Sin
At first, Brian was seen only in flashback scenes as a 6-year-old living with his 2-year-old brother Dexter and their mother, Laura. However, eagle-eyed viewers suspected something bigger was in store when a mysterious character credited as a “restaurant patron” made a brief appearance in Episode 2. Many correctly theorized that this was, in fact, Brian Moser.
The confirmation came six episodes later when Brian was revealed to be a major part of the story. Not only did he participate in revenge killings against those who wronged him in childhood and later in life, but his presence led to a shocking confrontation with Harry Morgan in the season finale.
Showtime Releases Unseen Images of Brian Moser
Brian Moser is portrayed by Roby Attal, and earlier today, Showtime unveiled never-before-seen behind-the-scenes images from the season finale. One of these images depicts a deleted scene that was cut at the last moment during the editing of Episode 10, Code Blues, as it wsa recently revealed by showrunner Clyde Phillips.
This deleted scene featured Brian holding a passport, stepping into a cab, and leaving Miami—suggesting that he ultimately accepted Harry’s plea to stay away from Dexter.
Following the season finale, Phillips explained the decision to remove the scene:
“At one time, it was written and shot that we’d see Brian looking in on them with a passport in his hand, getting into a cab and driving away. But as we were editing, things changed. The show is alive until it airs because we’re always refining it. The final dance scene was so powerful—it made the cliffhanger even stronger.”
A Look at the Deleted Scene

One of the images showcases a retro 1980s cab parked outside the restaurant where Harry, Dexter, and Deb were celebrating. A closer look reveals Brian’s passport, along with an airplane ticket partially visible.
