Dexter: Resurrection Casting Kids & Adult Extras for Central Park Scenes in NYC

The sequel series is set to film at one of NYC's most iconic landmarks next week.

Production for Dexter: Resurrection has officially entered its seventh week, with filming primarily taking place in New York City and its outskirts.

Over the past few weeks, several cast members have been spotted on set, including Michael C. Hall, Uma Thurman, James Remar, and Jack Alcott. Yesterday, we shared images featuring two new characters joining the franchise, played by Kadia Saraf and Dominic Fumusa.

A Unique Season in a New Setting

This season of Dexter stands out as it shifts from the familiar Miami backdrop to a wintery New York City—a dramatic change from the first eight seasons and Dexter: Original Sin. What’s even more remarkable is Showtime’s commitment to authenticity, opting to film in actual NYC locations rather than using Toronto as a stand-in, which is the industry norm due to cost savings.

Filming at an Iconic NYC Landmark – Central Park

Next week promises to be exciting for the cast, crew, and local Dexter fans as filming moves to one of New York City's most famous landmarks—Central Park.

According to NYC's Waldron Casting, the production team is currently looking for extras for background roles in exterior scenes scheduled to film on Monday, March 3rd.

Casting Call for Central Park Scenes

Waldron Casting is seeking non-union extras to play pedestrians in background scenes. They are also looking for kids aged 6 to 16 to appear in Central Park sequences on the same day.

If you're a Dexter fan living in New York City or nearby, this is a rare opportunity to be part of the franchise—even if just for a brief moment.

Below, you'll find all the details, including how to apply and contact info from the casting agency.
