Jennifer Carpenter Stuns at the Los Angeles Premiere of '1923' Season 2 – See Photos

Missed her? The former Dexter star returns to TV with guest role in Paramount+ series ‘1923’.

Jennifer Carpenter is making her highly anticipated return to television with a guest appearance in the Paramount+ series 1923, the prequel to the hit show Yellowstone.

The acclaimed drama, starring Hollywood legends Harrison Ford and Helen Mirren, kicks off its sophomore season this Sunday on Paramount+. A special premiere event was held on February 19, where Carpenter made an appearance on the red carpet.

In 1923, Carpenter takes on the role of Mamie Fossett, a highly skilled U.S. Deputy Marshal known for her confidence, sharp judgment, and advanced techniques in serving warrants and making arrests.

Best known for her iconic portrayal of Debra Morgan in all eight seasons of Dexter and Dexter: New Blood, Carpenter remains a part of the Paramount/Showtime family. However, her involvement in the upcoming Dexter sequel series, Dexter: Resurrection, currently in production, remains uncertain.

Many fans speculate that the return of James Remar as Harry Morgan could mean Carpenter’s absence from Dexter: Resurrection, or at least a reduced presence compared to her major role in Dexter: New Blood.
